It is staffed by 50 full-time employees and nearly as many seasonal staff, and has earned the prestigious distinction of being one of America's Top Ten Children's Museums by Reader's Digest. In addition to its educational exhibits, the Museum also hosts a variety of programs and classes such as parent-baby yoga bonding sessions and math and science discovery days. Its Art Studio allows young artists to explore various art mediums, sculpt and paint, and release their imagination through bursts of creativity. And its Pedal Power exhibit encourages physical fitness while teaching kids about alternative energy sources in a fun and interactive way. The Museum's goal is to reach as many members of the community as possible and to make it as affordable as possible. To that end, the Museum offers free and reduced admission to low-income families through its Every Child program. It also seeks feedback from the people it serves to inform future programming and initiatives.
